Who isn’t obsessed with Joanna Gaines? The handy, creative mamma won every HGTV binger’s heart with her amazing home flips on the hit TV show “Fixer Upper” alongside charmingly goofy husband Chip. The couple has grown their local Waco, Texas brand to an empire with biscuits, books and everything in between.
My boyfriend and I visited the Magnolia Silos back in 2016 when the Magnolia brand wasn’t nearly as renown! When my sister showed interest in visiting the Magnolia Silos last week, I jumped at the opportunity to see how they have expanded.
Our first stop was the most recent business venture for Chip and Jo: Magnolia Table. The restaurant had its grand opening in March 2018 and is open Monday through Saturday from 6:00 a.m. to 3 p.m.
We arrived at Magnolia Table at 9:30 a.m. We got lucky and the restaurant was having water issues all morning (more luck for us than them I suppose). They were finally opening once we arrived! We easily found parking and waited less than 20 minutes for a table. For those who may have to wait a heck of a lot longer, there’s a coffee shop out in the waiting area along with yard games and plenty of seating. My iced mocha was great!
We really loved the “que” like system for seating. You check in with the host stand and they text you a link that will tell you what number in line you are, how long it will take to be seated and notify you when your table is available. There is also bar and community table seating options as well.
The inside of the historic restaurant was adorable. Are you surprised? The food lived up to the hype as well! I ordered the Avocado Toast with a poached egg and my sister ordered the Kind Breakfast. The full menu can be found here! The food was awesome and fresh. For those who don’t want to brave the wait, you can head around the corner to the “Take Away” counter and find food, drinks, souvenirs and an adorable Instagram wall!
Our next stop was Magnolia Warehouse, or as I like to call it, my hidden gold mine. The original Magnolia store now holds tons of goodies for the budget friendly babe. Occasionally Chip and Jo will open the shop up for people to purchase heavily discounted merchandise, slightly damaged goods and Magnolia Home products. I scored a $150 Magnolia Home mirror for $50. Thanks Jo!!! Please click here to view the Magnolia Warehouse updated hours. This is a limited time only sale. You’ll find nearly every type of product such as books, baskets, candles, t-shirts, lamps, wall decor and SO. MUCH. MORE. This is a must do when it is open.
With all our new goodies in tow, we headed to the Magnolia Silos and Bakery. This is a great stop for moms looking to run their kiddos around, pit stop on a road trip or lunch destination at one of the many food trucks on the property. Between the food, market, gorgeous gardens and best bakery in town, The Silos is a must do for anyone coming to get the full Magnolia experience. There are plenty of photo ops, lawn games and even the full scale Magnolia Market with all of their famous products.
I hope you enjoyed our favorite things about our last trip to Magnolia’s home in Waco. We love that the journey is such a fun and easy day trip. Have a favorite day/weekend trip? Leave it in the comments below!
